“ . . . coming to Shepherd’s Hand is a miracle
really. It’s all about the community
standing together. Helping each other,
like the way it should be.”
— Keri, Columbia Falls

At Shepherd’s Hand we are committed to providing a safety net for people who are underserved and for those who simply need a place where others will come alongside them to give them hope.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization – giving an incredible 10,000 hours of service during 2015!

We’re looking for volunteers who are:

Committed. Most volunteers work one shift per month. In order to keep the clinic running smoothly and provide consistent care for our patients, it is critical that our volunteers attend when scheduled!

Compassionate. Many in our community face difficult choices on a daily basis – choices between their healthcare needs and putting food on their table or providing a roof over the heads of their family. It is essential that our volunteers recognize these challenges and treat patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Flexible. We need volunteers who arrive ready to work and jump right in! Also important is the ability to be flexible when the unexpected happens and handle change with a good attitude. Each week brings something new!

Truly, we can do more together than we can ever do alone. Are you ready to join us?

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Free clinic – medical and dental services

  • Wellness program

  • Community meal

Your first step is to submit a volunteer application. DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS will then contact you. Volunteers are expected to attend an orientation and will receive training for their specific duties.

Please contact Jessica Tubbs at JESSICA@SHEPHERDSHAND.COM with any questions.

“Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve.  You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve... You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
